Brian Lucykanish Car Accident: Police Officer Killed in Off-Duty NJ Car Crash
Waterford Township, NJ – An off-duty police officer was killed in a single-vehicle car accident in Waterford Township on Thursday night.
Patrolman Brian Andrew Lucykanish of the Pemberton Township Police Department died when his car crashed on Jackson Road at approximately 9:30pm. The 31-year-old officer was the only occupant of the vehicle, according to authorities.

Former Burlington County Sheriff Jean Stanfield called Lucykanish a “wonderful officer” who was deeply committed to public service. Neighbors also expressed sadness over the sudden passing of the respected policeman.
The New Jersey State Police Fatal Accident Investigation Unit is continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash. A memorial service for Lucykanish has been scheduled for February 11th in Riverton.
